What's Going On?
Last updated: July 31, 2025.
We wanted to give you a quick heads-up on the tariff update issued by US President Donald Trump that's hitting the cycling industry. The US has announced a new 19% tariff on goods from Indonesia, a significant increase that will soon impact the cost of many of our bikes and accessories. You know our "ride more for less" motto is the foundation of everything we do. We work hard to source the best quality bikes at the best possible prices, which is why we've focused on countries like Indonesia. Even with this new tariff, the cost of goods from Indonesia is still significantly lower than from other countries like China, Vietnam, and Cambodia, where tariffs are as high as 55%. This means we'll still be able to offer you better prices than our competitors, but these tariffs are an added cost that we cannot absorb in their entirety. This is your last chance to grab that new bike or gear upgrade at today's prices before the changes take effect. Don't wait—shop now and beat the price hike!
What Are Tariffs?
Tariffs are taxes imposed by governments on imported goods. The US government has applied a series of new tariffs on imports into the USA, including bicycles and components. As bicycles and their components, even those made in the USA, are part of global supply chains this means the cost increases on these products is unavoidable.
These added costs are not optional - they are legally required and directly increase the price we (and every bike retailer) pay for inventory. Since we're a distributor of goods coming from countries that have incurred additional taxes, we will be impacted by this governmental decision; however, we will absorb some of the cost and then marginally increase our product prices. Rest assured, we will continue to live by 'Ride More For Less' - ensuring that we always give you the best possible prices.
What We're Doing About It?
We understand how important value is to our customers. That's why:
- We're absorbing part of the increased costs so you're not hit with the full impact.
- We're keeping our pricing competitive by working with a variety of suppliers.
- Decreasing expenses to maintain competitive (no fancy marketing spend like others).
- Buying domestic stock to keep prices lower, while this stock still exists.
We are against these tariffs because we believe they place an unnecessary burden on everyday riders and families looking for healthy and sustainable ways to enjoy the great outdoors.
Why Is Now The Best Time To Buy?
We encourage you to consider shopping before July 2nd, 2025. Here's why:
- Current pricing reflects lowest possible rates we can offer under the new tariff structure.
- Inventory purchased before additional increases may still be available - but quantities are limited.
- Tariff regulations are subject to change, and future adjustments could further impact prices and availability.
