Not the bike rating- only got on the call with sales supervisor
I haven't bought the bike yet, only had a sales call. Not impressed ... Talked to Ryan, who was late to call me on the scheduled call that was set. Then during the conversation, his answers were very general and confused me more than they gave clarity. I shared my feel for S and M on Specialized bike - He did provide me with pictures of geometry comparison, saying that "pictures say a 1000 words". I can see the difference, so it was somewhat helpful. But not in the case when he first said that Small would be a better choice, and then said Medium would be a better choice based on hearing about my preference. I was pushy and persistent in pulling the answers from him. Several times during our 47-minute call, I asked him to stay on course and answer my question, as he was answering something else, not what I was asking. Then he tried to switch the topic to the safety gear, but we didn't finish talking about bikes. When I asked to give me examples of bikes I should go and try at the stores to decide on the size of bikes that have the same geometry of 2 types of bikes I was interested in, his answer was - go to the stores, see which bikes you like and give me the types and I tell which of the polygon bikes would be a good fit. That's one way to do it, but respectfully - that's NOT what I asked. I want to see exactly how your bikes would feel, and then decide if the feel is right. Yes, I like the prices of the bikes and videos, but sales calls should make me want to continue talking to you and feel satisfied with all my questions answered, not left with more questions and a negative feeling.
Great Bikes
Picked this up for my wife and she loves it. In my experience (I ride a T9) the Polygon bikes have well built frames, and quality components and I can't personally justify spending twice as much for a Specialized, Trek or other brand even though those brands make super quality stuff also. I highly recommend these bikes and the shipping was very fast. Granted, I live in the PacNW, but Bikes Online had this on my doorstep in two days using the standard shipping.
