THE PERFECT BLEND

The Polygon Strattos strikes the perfect balance between endurance comfort and race-inspired performance. Its geometry offers an upright position that reduces strain for long rides, yet remains aggressive enough for a powerful and efficient ride. Thanks to the carbon frame, the Strattos S8X weighs an impressive 8.21kg, perfect for crushing gran fondos or clocking up weekend miles.

EFFICIENCY AND SPEED

Building on the classic lines and styling of a race bike, the lightweight carbon frame features subtle aerodynamic cues on the tubing and internal cable routing to reduce wind residence. While, the stiff downtube, thru-axles, and wide bottom bracket ensure an efficient platform for power transfer to put down some watts!

ENDURING COMFORT

Don't sacrifice comfort for speed. The Strattos utilize flex stays, dropped seat stays, and a carbon seatpost with an internal wedge to absorb road vibrations, keeping you comfortable on long rides. The FULL carbon fork and steerer also reduce weight in the front end for improved comfort while maintaining precise handling.

A TRUSTED BRAND

Polygon boasts over 30 years of experience and is known for offering high-performance bikes at competitive prices. Polygon road bikes have led to numerous national titles and even a victory at the 2023 Tour De Taiwan. With a 5-year warranty, you can trust Polygon to deliver from the factory to the track.

SHIMANO ULTEGRA DISC BRAKES

Hydraulic disc brakes are great for all riding conditions - easily boosting your confidence, even on the wettest of days. Aside from the versatility of hydraulic disc brakes, compared to rim brakes, they last longer, increase the lifespan of your wheels, and provide much more stopping power.

CARBON WHEELS

Upgrade your ride with the Novatec R3 carbon wheels, designed for discerning road cyclists seeking a lightweight, responsive, and durable wheelset. The 38mm rim depth strikes the perfect balance between aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability, wrapped in tubeless-ready Schwalbe One 28c tyres, this is a combo you can depend on.

CARBON SEATPOST

The Polygon Strattos' carbon seatpost helps to reduce road vibrations, providing a smoother and more comfortable ride. Its lightweight construction also helps shave precious grams, improving overall performance.

Happy customer

Having built 3 Campagnolo Chorus equipped road bikes from frames, groupos, and wheels, as well as owing several Shimano Ultegra bikes, I am not easily swayed by the hype of brand names - as logos are superficial. The quality of the components is what counts. Although I have never heard of Polygon from Indonesia until recently, I found this particular bike to be worth a "gamble," a bike I couldn't have put together from scratch for equal cost. My gamble paid off! It is definitely worth the money. First, of all, Mr. Ryan Stock, the sales supervisor, was cordial and helpful, kept me informed of the availability of the S size I was after. And when it arrived at the warehouse, the delivery time to my house surprised me, super fast. The bike was very well packaged, and contains all the tools necessary (although for me, those tools were not needed, a nice gesture, nevertheless). It even includes a little toy bottle opener gift of bicycle keychain thing. To put the bike together is not difficult, but it is a bit more than just knowing the left pedal is mounted counterclockwise. The CF seat post is quite long, blocked by the bottle screw, the post can only be inserted so far. It is too tall for me. The way it is, I think someone 5'8" or even 5'9" can ride it, if the TT is not too short for that individual. I gauged the bike size by the TT length, about 52 cm for S, as most of my other bikes (some Medium bikes are 52 cm TT). I had to saw off 11cm from the seat post to accommodate my leg length. To take the battery out of the seat post was a bit concerning in the beginning, as no Youtube instruction was available. Finally, I decided to hammer gently the catching edge of the insert expander using a large flathead screwdriver. Once you understand how it was put together, super easy. Recommend cutting the CF tubing with something like a Dremel, as it would fray CF by using a hacksaw. And 2 leads to 3 poles of the battery? No clear instruction anywhere. The way to do it is, the center pole must be used, then using either the right or the left for the other lead is okay. Back to the TT, it does not slant as much as my other bikes for easy dismount, can be a problem for shorter leg riders. Structurally, I am sure it's stronger having a larger triangle. Other tidbits? The included paper documentations are rather useless, and so are the reflectors. Don't know of anyone riding a bike of this level using reflectors. Might as well include a hat that says Dork!. Polygon could save a dollar or two by not including the reflectors and the paperwork. The handlebar tape is quite nice and plush, unlike some other reviewers had complained about being too thin. Oh, forgot they also included a little bell so you don't have to yell, On your left! Still debating on if I should mount that bell. The bike doesn't include pedals nor bottle cages, not uncommon for most bike purchases. The seat is generic, soft, and slightly wide to accommodate both sexes. I do not see the need to change it for now. The 38mm CF wheels are what sold me this bike, as I could be okay with 105 level components. For a few hundred dollars more to go to Ultegra level, and CF wheels? Okay, I bought into it. So far I only test rode 6 miles around the neighborhood, no problem at all, pumped up the 28mm wide tires to 85 psi (max of 95) Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase, and I would not hesitate in recommending others to this site. If you are thinking of making a purchase, do your homework on size, as that's the most important factor in choosing a bike. TT length can serve as a key guide.
