Description

AERO-OPTIMIZED CARBON

Built on a unidirectional pre-preg carbon chassis with high-modulus/high-strength fiber layup, the 3T Primo maximizes stiffness and power transfer without adding bulk. Its aero tube profiles and aggressive geometry deliver low drag and high precision across mixed surfaces—blending road speed with gravel confidence.

OFF-ROAD PRECISION

The full carbon 3T Fango fork, tapered steerer, and slack head angle create a front end that feels stable at speed and surgical through corners. Combined with 12mm thru-axles and tight handling geometry, the chassis offers precision and composure over rough terrain, loose descents, and fast, flowing tracks.

CONTROL-FOCUSED COCKPIT

The Primo cockpit is equipped with 3T’s Superergo Pro handlebars, shaped for optimal wrist angles and confident lever reach on long off-road descents. Paired with the lightweight 3T Apto Stealth stem and carbon Primo seatpost, the setup offers dialed front-end control and efficient power transfer. The Selle Italia Novus Boost Evo Superflow saddle rounds out the package, ensuring long-ride comfort and race-ready support where it counts.

ITALIAN ROOTS. RACE-BRED

Founded in Italy in 1961, 3T has spent decades shaping the future of performance cycling—from pioneering alloy cockpit designs to developing some of the fastest aero frames in the world. With deep roots in pro road racing and a bold vision for gravel, 3T bikes combine cutting-edge engineering with a legacy of innovation. The Primo continues that tradition: fast, refined, and unmistakably 3T.

SHIMANO GRX 1X12

The 12-speed GRX drivetrain offers a wide 10–45T range with optimized clutch control and chain retention. Paired with a 40T front ring, this system minimizes chain slap and maximizes engagement—ideal for aggressive gravel rides where terrain and pace constantly shift.

3T FANGO CARBON FORK

A full carbon fork with tapered steerer and 12mm thru-axles, the Fango delivers stiffness, vibration control, and tracking precision. Engineered to pair seamlessly with the Primo frame’s race geometry, it holds a line through descents and tightens control on unpredictable terrain.

FULCRUM RAPID RED 900

Built around tubeless-ready rims and sealed bearing hubs, the Rapid Red 900 wheels balance low rotational mass with gravel-ready resilience. Lightweight and responsive, they’re ready to handle everything from loose gravel sprints to long, loaded routes.

PIRELLI CINTURATO 700x45

With a proven adventure tread and durable compound, the Pirelli Cinturato 700x45s are designed for high-volume grip and puncture resistance. Capable on loose, rough, or wet surfaces—ideal for riders chasing speed without sacrificing traction.

ERGONOMIC COCKPIT – BUILT BY 3T

The Superergo Pro bar features progressive shaping for wrist support and control in the drops, with a wide platform for varied grip. Paired with the minimalist Apto stem and Primo carbon seatpost, the cockpit is clean, stiff, and designed for performance in all-day gravel conditions.

Exceptional Bike and Outstanding Service from BikesOnline!

I recently purchased the 3T Primo, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with both the bike and the overall experience. The 3T Primo is a standout gravel bike, designed with Italian precision and a focus on aerodynamics, making it a fantastic choice for riders who crave speed and versatility. This bike is fast and smooth, effortlessly tackling chunky terrain like roots and rocks, while also climbing extremely well—a true all-rounder for gravel and beyond. The Primo is very light weight and provides excellent control and comfort on long off-road rides. To enhance its performance, I added a Redshift suspension stem and converted to tubeless tires. These upgrades significantly improved the bike’s ability to handle rough terrain, absorbing shocks from roots and rocks while maintaining stability and speed. The tubeless conversion also gave me added confidence on technical trails, reducing the risk of punctures and improving traction. I had a minor issue with one of the tires early on, but BikesOnline’s customer service was phenomenal. They immediately stood behind their product, addressing the issue promptly and professionally, which speaks volumes about their commitment to customer satisfaction.A special shoutout to Juan in sales, who was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the purchasing process. He took the time to answer all my questions and guided me toward the perfect bike for my needs. Similarly, Landon in technical support was fantastic, providing clear and detailed answers to my questions about setup and upgrades. Their expertise made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. The 3T Primo has exceeded my expectations with its speed, smoothness, and climbing prowess, and BikesOnline’s exceptional service made this purchase a no-brainer. I highly recommend both the bike and BikesOnline to anyone looking for a high-performance gravel bike backed by a team that truly cares about its customers. I’ll definitely be shopping with them again!

very stable and fast

The model is quite sturdy and solid. It might seem clumsy and heavy when riding, but it's quite the opposite. It perfectly adjusted to my pedaling and responded very well to subtle movements on the handlebars. I just need to ride it a little more on slightly more unstable terrain to confirm the brand's quality. Overall, it's a very good model.

Comfortable gravel climber

Disclosure: I am BikesOnline employee. I had the opportunity to test out the 3T Primo over the weekend on one of my favorite gravel climbs and was impressed by GRX group set and comfort of the ride quality. The GRX drivetrain delivered crisp shifting, easy adjustments, and a gear range that made punchy climbs - up to 16% on this particular ride - feel manageable (especially paired with the bike’s relaxed geometry). The Pirelli tires gripped well on Southern California's loose sand over hard-packed terrain, and the carbon frame soaked up baby head chatter for a super comfy ride. At times, the bike did feel a tad sluggish on flats - but I felt that was mainly due to the 40T chainring. The reach also felt slightly short for my taste and I'd likely upgrade to a longer stem if this was my personal bike. Both of these critiques are easy and affordable upgrade opportunities for specs that highly subjective to each rider and the terrain in their backyard. Still, if you're chasing comfort and climbing ease on varied gravel, the Primo delivers big.

Wow

I’m not usually a carbon bike fan but I saw the 3T primo and fell in love with it. It looks even better in person. I’ve ridden a carbon fiber bike once before but was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the bike rides, how it eats up anything in front of it. The 12 speeds tackled every hill it came across. I’ve never used shimano grx before either but it’s very responsive and shifts quickly, doesn’t snag shifting under load which is great! Highly recommend grabbing this bike if you have the chance, you won’t regret it!
